Itinerary

Day by day

  1. 1
    Day 1

    Arrival in Nairobi

    Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel overlooking Nairobi National Park. Rest and prepare for the days ahead.

    Day 2

    Nairobi to Samburu

    After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for the flight to Samburu. Settle into your lodge, then the first game drive in search of Samburu's wildlife, including Grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe.

    Day 3

    Samburu

    A sunrise game drive, then lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, see the landscape on camelback and walk with local guides, who will talk you through Samburu life and traditions.

    Day 4

    Samburu to the Maasai Mara

    Fly to the Mara and check in at camp. Lunch, then an evening game drive and sundowners.

  5. 5
    Day 5

    Maasai Mara

    A full day in the Mara. Picnic lunch in the field, time with the Big Five, and an evening back at camp.

    Day 6

    Balloon safari and Maasai village

    An optional sunrise balloon safari over the Mara, followed by a bush breakfast. A game drive afterwards, then an afternoon visit to a Maasai village.

    Day 7

    Departure

    A final breakfast before the flight back to Nairobi. Farewell lunch, then a transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

Yes. The length, the camps and the order can all be adjusted. Several clients add the coast at the end.

Yes, and it is a good choice if your time is limited, because flying between camps removes two long driving days.
